Athanor Capital Partners Limited was incorporated in December 2002, as Maverick Capital Limited and in September 2003, the name was changed to Athanor Capital Partners Limited.

Founded as a Corporate Finance Advisory boutique, Athanor’s goal was to avoid the "one size fits all" approach which limits other advisors in the market. Athanor believes that it is unique in that it has the experience and depth of knowledge to offer both debt and equity solutions to corporate clients financing requirements.

In June 2004, Athanor recruited a small team from Bishopsgate Capital Management Limited and enhanced the corporate finance advisory business, by increasing the range of services available to clients and adding income streams that are not directly related to the cyclicality of corporate finance advisory business.

In September 2004, Athanor was granted an extension to it’s FSA Authorisation, thus allowing the Company to offer Asset Management services and Agency Stockbroking services to Institutional clients.

The enlarged group will continue to focus on the professional investment community only, and where relevant will outsource certain functions to specialist service providers. The Directors believe that the synergies created by adding these two new business areas will make Athanor a more robust company going forward.
